Major Function
- Follow all Brand and Company Standards
- Manages the Guest Experience
- Fill shifts in all departments as needed..
- Assists and advises General Manager on all Human Resources issues.
- Assists General Manager in all areas, including but not limited to, training, financial
Reporting, Setting and achieving Goals and overall success of the hotel.
Essential Functions
- Takes proactive approach when dealing with guest requests and/or concerns.
- Manages all team members and verifies that Brand and Company Standards are met
- Assist General Manager in hiring process for department needs.
- Train, coach, giving feedback and constructive criticism as well as encouragement.
- Build Department relationships within the department and with other departments,
promoting a high level of employee morale.
- Communication: written and verbal in a professional demeanor
- Complete all training in Choice University.
- Organize and keep inventory of all storage rooms and supplies.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Makes recommendations to General Managers for incentives, Training, and procedures
that will be in the best interest of the team and hotel success.
- Motivate the team.
- Execute Time Management Skills and encourage team to work in a timely manner.
- Verifies that the housekeeping team are cleaning rooms to GM and Brand Standards.
- Verifies that housekeeping cars and areas are well kept and clean.
- Supervises Laundry Attendant.
- Maintains Par levels of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform.
- Organize inventories in all departments.
- Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire hotel.
- Maintains Lost and Found items and procedures.
- Assure that all team members are held to the same standard of professional work ethic.
- Cultivate an environment of expecting all team members to demonstrate excellence.
- Cultivate an environment of expecting all team members to demonstrate excellent Guest
Service.
Education
Diploma/GED preferred
Other Prerequisites (Preferred, but will train right candidate)
- Hotel experience
- Previous experience in training and/or Supervisory Role
