What are the responsibilities and job description for the Immediate opening for caregiver in Allen area position at Comfort Keepers - Dallas, TX?
Comfort Keepers is looking for a few caregivers to join our team and work in the 75013 or 75002 area. The skilled caregivers are responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in Gujarati, with encouragement and remain empathetic to the clients at all times while caring for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Responsibilities:
- Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Assist with medications. Prepare meals and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.
- Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation in Gujarati by encouraging and assisting an individual.
Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate in Gujarati
- Must have experience dealing with clients needing Dementia care
- Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Background report.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
