As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or reactions.
- Take and record vital signs to maintain accurate health records.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by encouraging independence and participation in daily activities.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and promoting their autonomy.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas:
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including both developmental disabilities and physical disabilities.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
- Background in patient care within assisted living or home health settings.
- Certification in first aid is preferred but not required.
