Job Details:

• Location: Clifton Heights, PA 19018
• Shifts Available: 5 PM – 9 PM, Monday - Sunday
• Pay Range: $16 – $17 per hour
• Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time

About the Client:

• Female client
• FALL RISK – must use adapted walker at all times
• Requires assistance with ambulation, transfers, showering, dressing, toileting, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship
• Uses stair glider to exit home via the basement (not able to use steps)

Responsibilities:

• Ambulation & Transfers:
  • Assist client in walking and transferring, providing standby assistance at all times
  • Support client from the left side when rising or sitting down
• Bathing & Grooming:
  • Assist with showering, dressing, and oral hygiene
  • Apply lotion after showering
• Toileting & Continence Care:
  • Toilet client hourly to help prevent bladder infections
  • Assist with changing pads or pull-ups as needed
• Housekeeping & Meal Preparation:
  • Light housekeeping (laundry, tidying up, vacuuming, dusting, collecting trash)
  • Prepare diabetic-friendly meals, involve client in meal prep when possible
  • Ensure hydration and check fridge for available food options
• Exercise & Medication Reminders:
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises
  • Encourage movement around the first floor for daily exercise
  • Remind client to take her prescribed medications
  • Assist with checking blood sugar and insulin administration in the evening
• Companionship & Safety Monitoring:
  • Engage in conversation and provide emotional reassurance
  • Monitor and document daily activities at clock-out

Qualifications:

• Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Must have experience with:
    • Bathing assistance
    • Dressing & grooming assistance
    • Cooking & meal prep
    • Light housekeeping
    • Transportation to appointments and errands
    • Toileting & incontinence care
  • Reliable transportation (car available for use)
  • Must have valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Ability to follow exercise guidance from a visiting PT
  • Experience working with fall-risk clients preferred

Work Environment:

• Client’s home
• Requires operation of a stair glider for client’s mobility
• Supportive family providing pre-prepared meals and routine care oversight
