What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Call Coordinator position at Comfort Keepers San Angelo, TX?
As a On-Call Coordinator you will be responsible for answering the on-call telephone and handling all clients and caregivers calls in a professional and timely manner.
*Responsibilities*
- Requires problem solving and conflict resolution of all after hour calls from caregivers, clients and potential clients, while exercising competent decision making skills
- Calls to be answered live, or when not possible, messages returned within 15 minutes.
- Ensures all requested visits are staffed, and clock in and out times are accurate for each shift.
- Schedules shifts and hours by matching caregiver qualifications and availability to clients’ needs when needed.
- Escalates conflicts to Human Resources and Client Service Team when necessary.
- Communicates new assignments and/or schedule changes to caregivers and clients timely & accurately.
- Keeps log of both times worked and calls taken and handled while on-call.
- Participates in weekly case conferences.
*Qualifications*
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess above average human relations, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be able to work under time pressures and manage multiple demands simultaneously. Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills are necessary.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of scheduling and/or health care preferred
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in predominantly standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in word processing and computer skills.
