Caregiver Needed – Coatesville, PA (Urgent Need!)
Location: Coatesville, PA
Shifts Available: Wednesday (9 AM - 7 PM), Sunday (9 AM - 3 PM)
Pay Rate: $14/hour
Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist a female client in her home. The client is mostly independent but requires support due to limited strength, stamina, and mobility caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). She has good and bad days, requiring assistance with daily living activities and occasional redirection to rest. This role is crucial in maintaining her well-being and providing companionship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing (shower/tub, shampooing hair as scheduled)
- Provide dressing & grooming assistance (applying lotion, detangling and styling hair, filing nails)
- Offer companionship & encouragement
- Meal preparation (low-sugar diet, no pork, garlic intolerance)
- Light housekeeping (laundry, dusting, cleaning, organizing as requested)
- Medication reminders (evening reminders on Tuesday & Thursday)
- Ambulation support (encourage use of cane, standby assistance at all times)
- Transfer assistance (assist with getting off the couch when needed)
- Encourage light exercise & movement on good days (walks around the block)
- Clock-in/out assistance (client has memory loss—ensure accurate logging)
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving, personal care, or home health assistance preferred
- Comfortable assisting with bedbound care & gait belt/transfer support
- Ability to follow structured care routines and adapt to client’s needs
- Reliable and patient with strong communication skills
Special Requirements
- Familiarity with using a walker & cane
- Ability to provide gentle redirection when the client overexerts herself
- Comfortable following hair care routine (detangling & styling per client’s direction)
