In-Home Personal Caregiver/Caregiver
Have you assisted family members or another person requiring personal care or other care services for at least a year? Do you love being a caregiver, have a heart for seniors? Are you looking to work in a positive work environment where you are valued? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes.
At Comfort Keepers, we bring Elevating the Human Spirit to life by enriching the lives of seniors in our community by providing person centered care and actively engaging with clients through conversation/companionship and other activities.
We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and interactive caregivers who enjoy caring for the whole person socially, physically, mentally, and emotionally, improving the client’s quality of life ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Applicants must be willing to travel at least 30 miles to clients throughout Lexington & surrounding counties and available to work some weekends. Weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) pay an additional $2/hr.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Reliable transportation and the ability to be on time for assigned shifts.
Ability to work independently.
Provide essential non-medical assistance to individuals in their homes, assist with daily activities and ensure the well-being of the client.
Ability to access work schedule and accurately follow client care plans using the internet.
Job responsibilities vary from client to client including:
Provide companionship and conversation while being attentive to the unique needs of the client.
Provide mobility assistance.
Maintain clean environment with light housekeeping and preparing meals, running errands, grocery shopping, and transportation.
Provide medication reminders.
Provide and/or assist with grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and managing incontinence issues.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
