What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Team Lead II position at Comfort Research, LLC.?
The Production Team Lead II will plan, direct, and execute daily production operations, ensuring alignment with the Operations Manager. Oversee production runs, prioritize tasks, and optimize Ambassador performance through training and task realignment. Maintain accountability, communicate disciplinary actions, and foster a safety-conscious and collaborative work environment. Team Leads are expected to demonstrate leadership, teach, coach, and flexibly perform various tasks while reliably working all scheduled hours.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks and interactions with others.
- Ensure safe and orderly operations are maintained at all times.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards outlined in spec sheets.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials such as foam, colorant, boxes, bags, etc., and communicate any shortages in advance.
- Validate the accuracy of products produced for Dropship orders to guarantee customers receive the correct items, on-time.
- Oversee all production areas, focusing on key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and output.
- Monitor work orders to verify the accuracy of finished goods being produced.
- Coordinate with schedulers to understand demand for trade partners and Dropship orders, ensuring products are ready for loading at the scheduled time.
- Lead/Participate in daily huddles with other functional areas and production personnel to outline daily and weekly expectations.
- Communicate company goals, policies, and updates to production teams.
- Collaborate with all aspects of manufacturing to support meeting labor standards, maintaining quality, and adhering to manufacturing specifications.
- Lead, co-lead, and actively participate in continuous improvement projects throughout the plant, from planning to execution.
- Support Operations team in shared goals and initiatives.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 - 4 years of previous Team Lead, Supervisor, or Leadership experience required.
- 2 - 4 years of previous manufacturing experience required.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous experience operating powered forklifts is preferred.
- Knowledge of various material-handling equipment.
- Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.
- Ability to use computer and scanning equipment.
- Ability to utilize Excel / Word type applications, along with internal systems (ASC).
- Ability to read and understand job aids and other instructional material printed in English.
- Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work within a team environment required.
