Description
The Sales Operations Support Specialist facilitates order processing excellence from seasonal item set-up and EDI order receipt through inventory affirmation, shipping and invoicing. This collaborative role works with cross-functional partners to assure on-time and in-full deliveries to create an excellent customer experience for our Comfort Research retail partners.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sales Team, including product setup, daily order tracking, and all related operational tasks.
- Communicate proactively with key internal and external stakeholders regarding order status and coordinate necessary support to ensure on-time execution.
- Oversee order-to-cash processes and manage trade partner portal administration.
- Deliver regular reporting and insight into Comfort Research’s operational performance.
- Manage content and inventory feed processes to support omnichannel retail strategies.
- Troubleshoot customer order issues and apply corrective actions to resolve them urgently and effectively.
- Manage EDI transactions by monitoring the electronic exchange of business documents such as purchase orders, ASNs, and invoices.
- Handle manual order entry and order adjustments with urgency and completeness.
- Check inventory levels to ensure product availability before processing orders.
- Tactical management of the vetting and start-up for assigned emerging accounts aligned with the overall channel strategy.
- May be assigned emerging, opportunistic, or developmental accounts to support organizational priorities and individual growth opportunities.
- Lead improvement initiatives aimed at automating order management processes, reducing return rates, and shortening shipping lead times
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Sales, Supply Chain, and Product teams to enhance systems and streamline processes.
- Support Sales team in shared goals and initiatives.

This position is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week on-site at our office located at 1719 Elizabeth Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. The remaining workdays can be completed remotely, providing a flexible balance between in-office collaboration and remote work convenience. Candidates should be within commuting distance of our Grand Rapids location.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional work experience in Procurement, Retail Administration, EDI, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Operations, and/or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent required.
- Knowledge of industry standards in retail, order management, and operations.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience working with e-commerce and EDI preferred
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and in a team environment
