Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, long-term care needs, and those requiring hospice care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and comfort. This position requires a patient and empathetic individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patients’ health conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Administer CPR when necessary and follow emergency procedures as outlined in training.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment for clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Experience or training in hospice care or long-term care settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 35 per week
