Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Person will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate records.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to assist in repairs or installations.
• Conduct residential painting and minor repairs as needed to maintain the appearance of facilities.
• Operate tools and equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on larger projects or repairs requiring additional manpower or expertise.
• Assist in training new staff on maintenance procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, logic controllers, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repair techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic welding skills are advantageous but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• A strong understanding of safety practices related to maintenance work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
