Comfort Suites I-25 North Las Cruces, NM
Position Purpose: The Commons Attendant will maintain the quality and cleanliness of the front of house public areas and commons, while assisting in any maintenance on the property as needed.
Duties and Performance/Tasks:
- Present a positive and professional work environment with team members and guests.
- Follow all safety and health regulations.
- Cleaning and supplying designated public areas including, sterilizing, polishing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, (etc).
- Checks and cleans all public restrooms, as well as including the pool area, replacing paper supplies as needed.
- Cleans and re-stocks employee restrooms daily.
- Remove trash and vacuums carpets in the lobby and breakfast serving area and dinning area.
- Resolve issues or maintenace for any guests in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Learn and know the names of chemicals being used.
- Maintains a neat appearance of work cart.
- Communicate daily with management regarding maintenace and work orders.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks and special projects via management
- Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.
. Requirements: Ability to work on your feet for 6 hours or more. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision and ability to multitask.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, and holidays.
- 6 months to 1 year or equivalent experience; Hotel janitorial experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
