Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, self-starter Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the property, including guest rooms, common areas, and amenities such as the pool. The ideal candidate will be a skilled multitasker with a strong background in construction, including expertise in drywall, sheetrock, and painting. A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and problem-solving is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Property Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the property is in excellent condition. Address issues in guest rooms, common areas, and other property facilities.
• Preventative Maintenance: Implement and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce the likelihood of equipment failure and maintain the property’s overall appearance and functionality.
• Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct repairs and improvements, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
• Construction Tasks: Utilize construction skills such as drywall repair, sheetrock installation, painting, and other related tasks to maintain and improve the property.
• Pool Maintenance: Perform daily upkeep of the pool, including water testing, chemical balancing, and equipment checks, ensuring compliance with safety and health standards.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, codes, and regulations. Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and parts needed for repairs and upkeep. Order replacement items as necessary.
• Guest and Team Support: Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and team members, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Strong construction skills, including drywall, sheetrock, painting, and basic carpentry.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with pool maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Basic computer skills to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Flexibility to work on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfort working in varying conditions, including outdoor areas, confined spaces, and heights.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
