Position Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service in our hotel. As a key member of the housekeeping team, you will clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
Replenish room amenities such as towels, toiletries, and coffee supplies.
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items.
Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets as needed.
Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including hallways, stairwells, and lobby areas.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security standards.
Assist with laundry tasks, such as washing, folding, and storing linens, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus but not necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet performance standards.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
