What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigerant Pipe Installer position at Comfort Systems Mid South?
HVAC Controls / Refrigerant Pipe Installer
We are seeking a full time HVAC mechanic who can install equipment, run refrigerant piping, install controls, and perform startup. Work may involve any of the following :
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Must be able to work 40 hours every week and overtime as needed
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to install HVAC equipment such as split systems DX units, Package AC units, ductless mini splits, and other common commercial HVAC equipment.
- Must be able to Install refrigerant piping with accessories based on engineer's schematics and equipment schedule details.
- Must be able to read control schematics and install basic controls such as thermostats, humidistats, CO2 sensors, relays, and motorized dampers.
- Must have troubleshooting skills for solving problems with common HVAC equipment.
- Experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems is a plus.
