Position Summary
To manage and supervise the installation of the mechanical or plumbing systems on a CSUSASW project to meet or beat the qualified budget. Your expectation is to manage the manpower in a safe and productive manner at all times. You will be responsible to execute the budgeted manpower plan set forth by the Project Management Team that was put together in collaboration with you, and your Superintendent. All daily activities will correspond with your 3 week look ahead, this will include procuring materials, Pre-Fab, and company tools in a timely manner.

Must be able to Manage 1-3 Lead personnel who supervise a total of 10 or more employees in the job site specific leadman position. You are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also need to be able to directly supervise approximately 1-20 non-supervisory employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. It is your obligation to detail, order materials, and schedule manpower that corresponds with your 3 week look ahead.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

- Promote CSUSASW safety culture.
- Create and manage a team culture with all CSUSASW employees and depts.
- Review and understand plans, specifications, submittals, IOMs, and scope on each project.
- Prepare a 3week look ahead weekly and a schedule the proper mix of manpower and submit to your project management team and Superintendent on Mondays.
- Ensure that tools and materials are sufficient to work productively.
- Coordinate with the General Foreman and/or Superintendent, manpower needs.
- Communicate with Superintendent to maintain a proper ratio of apprentices to journeyman on all projects to meet the qualified crew rate for the project.
- Daily correspondence with General foreman, PM/PE and General Contractor
- Must be capable to do a complete 90% take off from blueprints.
- Detail all equipment, including but not limited to fan coils, air handlers, pumps, chillers, boilers.
- Set and manage daily goals for the crew.
- Coordinate all start-up activities, use start up pre-check list and start up forms. Min 1 week prior to needing start up on site.
- Work with CSUSW SW General Foreman to coordinate and manage all sub-contractors.
- Manage and maintain all company assets. (Electronic Devices, Tools, Etc.)
- Have all personal tools required by CSUSA SW, as listed in the Employee Handbook.
- Know and enforce company policies and procedures, including safety.
- Work with and train journeymen and apprentices.
- Provide opportunities for on-the-job training.
- Perform Quality inspection of installations daily to ensure spec and code compliance.
- Ensure that installation is according to job specifications, plans, and contract documents.
- Work to build a professional relationship with General Contractors and Engineers in a professional manner.
- Coordinate installation with other trades and General Contractor.
- Maximize shop prefabrication.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly onsite staff meeting with Project Management Team.
- Attend and run weekly jobsite meetings with crews to discuss the current state of the project.
- Maintain updated "as-builts" and progress drawings weekly.
- Organize the job in such a way that material handling is kept to a minimum.
- Manage CDR for the employee’s time daily.
- Eliminate emergency material and manpower needs.
- Maintain company vehicles. This includes washing the vehicles Bi-monthly at a minimum.
- Always represent Comfort Systems USA Southwest in a professional manner.

- 3 week look-a-head.
- Foreman daily report- Detailed documentation of the day’s events
- Job Safety meetings, toolbox talks and job site walks.
- Subcontractor’s required paperwork
- Receiving log
- Daily goals
- Meeting notes
- Document conversations with General Contractor or other trades that pertain to the job.
- Employee counseling when necessary.
- Material Safety Data Sheets-in compliance with General Contractor and OSHA
- Maintain CDR for all employees working on your projects.
