Your Role at a Glance
As a Sheet Metal Superintendent, you'll work directly with the Field Operations Manager and supervise Superintendents and Foremen. Your mission is to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time, exceeding expectations every step of the way.
Leadership & Team Building
- Hire, train, and retain skilled personnel to maintain a top-tier workforce.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement professional development plans.
Project Management
- Plan and allocate manpower to meet project budgets and deadlines.
- Promote prefabrication to maximize efficiency and control costs.
- Visit job sites regularly to ensure quality and identify potential issues early.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion company safety programs and OSHA requirements.
- Ensure all team members are trained and follow safety protocols.
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and general contractors.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Essential Skills
- Strong industry knowledge and OSHA expertise.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience as a Foreman or higher in sheet metal construction.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction or a related field.
- Proficient in interpreting construction documents, managing budgets, and scheduling.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Must be comfortable working in outdoor environments and navigating active construction sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in loud environments.
