Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely around their home, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and assisting with ambulation.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Provide reminders for medication schedules and monitor adherence to prescribed medications.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living spaces to ensure a safe environment.
- Companionship: Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, changes in client condition, and any concerns to report to the nursing staff or supervisor.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments and errands when needed (may require a valid driver's license).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Florida .
- Previous experience in home healthcare, assisted living, or a similar field.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
- Must pass background checks and drug screening as required by state regulations.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.50 per hour
