Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with catheter care and other personal hygiene needs.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Launder clothing and bedding as needed to maintain a clean environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Assist individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support tailored to their unique needs.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration systems and protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients when necessary.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent training is a plus but not mandatory.
