We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team on a per diem basis.
Position Overview:
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at ComfortPlus Home Healthcare, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans. Your role will be essential in helping patients regain their independence and improve their daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and executing tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance functional abilities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicating any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques to promote independence.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Florida State licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Previous experience in home healthcare or related settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
