Our editorial team is looking for writers to create the kind of fun, informative, and engaging Lists and Features that our discerning audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave. Qualifications
- A passion for video games, writing, and a drive to grow within the industry
- Broad working knowledge of gaming industry, including major AAA titles, retro games, JRPGs, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Nintendo and FromSoftware
- Up to date with new video game releases
- The ability to analyze content and pull directly from the source material to back up claims
- A sharp eye for grammatical details
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turn-around times
- Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment
- Should possess a general understanding of comics culture and strong research skills
Responsibilities
- Write articles in CBR’s house style
- This will include fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/very basic editing (sizing, brightness, etc.)
- Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas that’ll be published on-site
- Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
- Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
