Compensation Range for Operator:
- $28.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime available

Position Summary
This is an experienced level directional drill operator position who will also be responsible for operating various construction equipment at construction sites for trenching, bore drilling, and pulling underground fiber optic cabling. In this position you need to be an effective team member of your crew, working safely at all times, and being efficient.
Essential Functions
- Safely operate directional boring drills and other construction equipment in a variety of urban and rural areas
- Prepare construction site for trenching, bore drilling, or plowing
- Safely and securely load and unload construction equipment and materials
- Perform other crew related duties including locating for the drill or operating vac equipment
- Must comply with all safety requirements and participate in required safety training
Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent in knowledge and training required
- 2 plus years working as directional drill operator
- OSHA 10 (preferred)
- Experience in operating one or more types of construction equipment
- Commercial driver's license, Class A or the ability to obtain a Class A license
- Ability to read instructions and take work direction verbally and in writing
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
- Travel may be required
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, climbing and bending and occasional kneeling and crawling as required. Close, peripheral and distant visual abilities are needed including depth perception. Requires ability to lift arms above shoulders. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. The work environment is frequently loud and requires the employee to work in a variety of weather elements including extreme cold and heat.
