We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our Public Relations and Communications team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events to promote our organization and engage with our target audience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all aspects of events, including venue selection, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Develop event concepts and themes that align with the organization's objectives and target audience.
- Coordinate with internal teams to create event marketing materials, including invitations, programs, and signage.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Secure sponsorships and partnerships to enhance the overall event experience and generate additional revenue.
- Coordinate with external agencies and contractors to provide audiovisual, technology, and other event-related services.
- Oversee event registration and attendee management, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the Chicago events landscape is a plus.
