Title: Senior Director, Assistant Controller
Summary of Role
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, the Senior Director, Assistant Controller will oversee US GAAP reporting and compliance. This includes oversight of the global revenue and corporate accounting teams, partnering with international accounting, finance center of excellence, and global tax and treasury. We are seeking a dynamic leader with a continuous improvement mindset to support the company’s next phase of growth and transformation, while ensuring the ongoing development and management of people, processes, financial systems, reporting, and analytics.
How You’ll Succeed
-Oversees global revenue accounting, corporate accounting, consolidation, and US GAAP reporting
-Creates and maintains the company’s financial records, with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrating appropriate diligence in managing the balance sheet
-Provides thought leadership regarding accounting and other financial systems, ensuring alignment with operational processes and accounting policies
-Oversees the annual audit, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and delivering timely results
-Drives a results-focused, customer-centric team culture, holding a high bar on performance and accountability
-Mentors and develops team, focusing on goals and helping team members reach their potential
-Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset to support the business through the next phase of transformation and growth, and shows a strong desire for professional development to the next level
-Supports strategic initiatives, including new product launches, simplification initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions
What You Bring
-Certified Public Accountant with 8 years public (Big 4 a plus) and/or private accounting experience
-An accounting thought leader with people management skills including hiring, mentoring, change management, engagement, and team development in a dynamic environment
-System savvy – proven track record of delivering ERP-based solutions that align with operational process and accounting policy
-Netsuite and Salesforce (or equivalent) expertise is a must
-ASC 606 experience in enterprise software or other environment with high complexity
-Collaborative at all levels of the organization, with demonstrated ability to balance broader needs of organization with departmental needs
-Sense of urgency and ability to anticipate challenges before they arise
-Pragmatic approach to problem solving with demonstrated ability to bring clear and comprehensive solutions
-Experience in leveraging a center of excellence (or shared service center) and working with a geographically dispersed team
-Excellent partnership with FP&A, Business Operations, Legal, IT, Sales, Product and other functions across the company
-Multinational experience is a huge plus
