Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced electrical commissioning engineer that enjoys working on complex electrical systems and is looking for an opportunity to develop in either or both technical and management fields.
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will lead the electrical commissioning effort by scheduling the commissioning activities, preparing test scripts, and directing commissioning and testing activities in the field. Project types include airports, data centers, central utility plants, and office buildings. The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will collaborate with the mechanical commissioning engineer/specialist, design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client to test and validate electrical power and control systems. This position requires travel to sites throughout the US and includes working directly with the client. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential.
Qualified candidates should have the following:
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent. similar experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
· Five to ten years of similar electrical testing, commissioning, and/or design experience.
· Thorough understanding of complex electrical power distribution systems.
· Knowledge of electrical industry standards and codes.
· Good written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, attention to safety, strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
· Experience using electrical testing equipment.
