What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Automation Engineer - Temporary position at Command Holdings?
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer with expertise in Terraform and preferably Zscaler ZPA (Zscaler Private Access). The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating application policies into Zscaler, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of our cloud applications. You will work closely with our DevOps and security teams to implement best practices and optimize our cloud environment. We are looking for a self-motivated, driven, problem solver to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the deployment of cloud resources.
- Design and implement application policies in Zscaler ZPA to enhance security and access control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation processes to ensure reliability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to cloud automation and security.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference.
Expected salary range: $110,000 - $128,000
This is a temporary position that will end on or around September 30th, 2025.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and networking concepts.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Zscaler ZPA and its application policy management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field such as Engineering.
- Current, active DOE-Q Clearance
- Relevant certifications in Terraform, Zscaler, or cloud platforms.
- Experience with other Zscaler products and services.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
