We are seeking a Cutter Operator for 2nd Shift (3 pm - 11 pm).
A qualified Flat Cutter Operator should be able to perform the following tasks:
- Lays out job to be cut on the trimmer machine
- Inputs information determined by sheet images into trimmer computer
- Removes paper stacks from skids and places them in trimmer to cut job
- Operates stacker by taking paper from trimmer and loading into stacker; this paper is stacked onto another skid
- Performs preventative maintenance of the flat cutter machine
- Performs clean-up of machine area
- Assist with training others as needed
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Ability to read and take measurements in standard and metric
- Positive attitude and a focus on quality
- Able to operate independently and as part of a team
- Able to read and follow job tickets, labels, and instructions
- Demonstrate the ability to focus on the task at hand and maintain consistency
- Good understanding of all Bindery functions/procedures
- Good organizational and time management skill
- Be able to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule
