**Job Description:**
As a Security Guard at Commander, Navy Installations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our installations. This includes serving as a senior member of the entry control/vehicle inspection team, conducting private and commercial vehicle inspections, and regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:**
- Conducting private and commercial vehicle inspections to ensure safe access to restricted areas.
- Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations.
- Monitoring personnel access into restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
- Providing technical direction to an entry control team to properly perform vehicle inspections.
- Inspecting private and commercial vehicles to determine if they are safe to enter the installation.
What We Are Looking For:
- A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Experience should include physically examining identification for access to restricted areas, assisting with regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic, monitoring personnel access, and performing private and commercial vehicle inspections.
