Role Overview
An experienced Retail Merchandiser with 3 years of merchandising experience with confidence in data analysis, quick follow-through, and extreme attention to detail. This person must be highly knowledgeable in Excel and fashion merchandising. This role will manage Streetwear within Dover Street Market NY, Dover Street Market LA, and E-SHOP in partnership with the Merchandiser.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Merchandiser in driving topline sales and analysis for respective businesses; 65 brands
- Improve seasonal development, concentrating on the bigger picture
- Generation and distribution of weekly/monthly reports; inclusive of topline recaps
- Analyze data and propose business-driving actions to Merchandiser; replenishment, bi-weekly transfers, etc.
- General Inventory maintenance including management of transfers, RTVs, replenishment, chase, etc.
- Work closely with Inventory Control Manager to ensure stock levels are always accurate
- Liaise with all suppliers, maintaining a good relationship and ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in a correct manner
- Owns the updating of weekly inter-company files
- Oversees all internal logs within the team
- Manage and develop the Assistant Merchandiser in partnership with Merchandiser
- Partner closely with Ecommerce, Press, and Marketing teams to drive digital growth
Key Requirements & Skills
- 3 years experience in a Merchandising role
- Merchandising experience within launch-based products is preferred
- Multi-brand experience preferred
- Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Office, etc.)
- Must be advanced in creating reports from raw data
- Excellent understanding of the entire buying and merchandising process
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical skills
Key Deliverables:
- Monitor the performance of measurable targets on a weekly basis.
- Planning and execution of product launches and new deliveries
- Highly accurate stock system and its implementation with accounting
- Work with ESHOP and Press teams to promote products.
- General Inventory maintenance including management of transfers, RTVs, and Purchase Orders.
- Come up with strategies in season to increase sales and support the business.
- Improve seasonal development, concentrating on the bigger picture.
- Work closely with the Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure stock levels are always accurate.
- Create longstanding relationships with brands.
