Dover Street Market New York opened in 2013 - it was the Store's third location worldwide and first in the US. Like its predecessors Dover Street Market London and Dover Street Market Ginza, it was conceived and designed by Rei Kawakubo and subscribes to the philosophy of 'beautiful chaos' - the accidental synergy that results from independent minds, each with something original to say, colliding together in one space. In 2018, Dover Street Market Los Angeles opened cementing its place on the West Coast.

There are no set criteria for DSM. Both locations house all Comme des Garçons brands, and also boast a selection of designers that range from the established to the emerging, in addition to traditional products outside the realm of fashion. Designers have been given complete freedom to determine their individual brand spaces - the result being those collections as diverse as Azzedine Alaïa, Supreme, Sacai and Nike live alongside one another in an unexpected harmony.

A sense of discovery lies at the heart of DSM. Rounding out the DSM experience is the addition of Rose Bakery on the ground floor. Rose and Jean Charles Carrarini's café is renowned for its signature fresh and natural food and is now a mainstay of DSMs around the world.

Role Overview :

As a Sales Professional / Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining visually appealing and effective displays that enhance the customer shopping experience. You will work closely with the merchandising team to ensure that our store always presents a polished and inviting atmosphere.

Key Objectives :

Ensure that all store displays adhere to company standards and consistently provide an exceptional shopping experience.
Effectively communicate and train store staff on visual merchandising requirements to maintain flawless displays.
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a memorable shopping experience for every client.

Key Responsibilities :

Partner with the Special Projects and Merchandising teams to maintain visual standards, incorporating product launches, installations, and daily stock movement.

Work closely with the Merchandising team and store staff to ensure efficient stock rotation and comprehensive brand knowledge.

Merchandise all installations and new deliveries to showcase products effectively, liaising with internal and external teams to meet visual merchandising needs.

Develop and maintain a detailed visual merchandising schedule to optimize store presentation.

Organize regular VM visits with brands to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.

Train retail staff on company visual standards to empower them to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Contribute to sales goals by providing excellent customer service and cultivating strong client relationships.

Adherence to visual merchandising standards and guidelines

Timely execution of seasonal and promotional displays

Communication and training to store employees for all VMD requirements

Preparation of product launches and deliveries

Positive customer feedback and increased sales

Effective collaboration with the merchandising and store teams

Skills :

Strong organizational and time management skills

Detail-oriented; Ability to multitask and prioritize

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Photoshop skills highly preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree

1 year of retail visual merchandising experience

Portfolio of previous work required
