Director of Data Insights $185K

POSITION SUMMARY   As the Director of Data Insights, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a data strategy that aligns with business objectives. You will lead a team of data analysts and data scientists in extracting insights from complex data sets using predictive analytics and machine learning techniques. In addition, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, as well as other teams within the IMT department such as Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and managed.   PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS   Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with business objectives, leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning techniques. Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists in extracting insights from complex data sets, using tools and frameworks such as Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other machine learning libraries. Develop and maintain data models and algorithms to support data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and managed, leveraging cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, as well as big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Provide leadership and guidance on data governance and data quality initiatives. Create and maintain a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, including training in new tools and techniques. Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities to leverage data in driving business performance. Provide thought leadership on the latest trends and advancements in data analytics and machine learning. Work with external partners to identify emerging trends and technologies in the field. Develop and implement data visualization strategies that effectively communicate insights to business leaders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView. Ensure the team is effectively utilizing tools/frameworks such as Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other machine learning libraries to drive insights and recommendations. Drive the adoption of predictive analytics and machine learning technologies across the organization. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the team's work aligns with business objectives. Provide executive-level reports on the team's progress, including performance metrics, project status, and resource utilization. Partner with the Director of Information Technology in developing a budgetary plan that aligns the company data program with he documents strategic financial plan.   REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS   Experience in building and leading implementation of self-service tools for data scientists and stakeholders using relevant technologies.  Strong knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning, and data modeling techniques. Strong technical skills with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation Experience with statistical analysis and deriving insights from data, as well as building interactive deliverables to play with data. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with agile methodologies for project management. Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.   Work Experience:  Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.   Education:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.   Other Requirements: Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure-related tasks, such as containerization, deployment automation, and monitoring. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView. Knowledge and proficiency in various version control systems such as Git, or mercurial     SCHEDULED HOURS   Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Schedule may vary depending on business needs.
