Commerce City is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist to support our Emergency Manager in coordinating emergency management plans, leading public outreach, managing volunteer programs, and ensuring our city is ready for any situation.
In this role, you'll bring your expertise in technology, emergency operations center systems, and project management to develop strategies, conduct trainings, and collaborate with local, state, and federal partners. Whether managing the HAM Radio Program, delivering impactful public presentations, or enhancing our Emergency Operations Center’s procedures, your work will contribute to the safety and resilience of our community.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or sixty (60) credit hours of higher education in a related field such as Emergency Management, Incident Management or Homeland Security.
One (1) year experience assisting with organizing emergency and non-emergency events.?
Any equivalent combination of education and experience, as approved by the department.
Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history and motor vehicle record. Valid Colorado driver's license.
