The Senior Communications Specialist develops and implements strategic communications activities to maximize visibility across multiple departments and promote public awareness of City programs, projects, and special events. Responsibilities include external/internal communications support, community relations, content creation, and event coordination. The position supports the Community Relations Manager in the areas of issues management and media relations, including serving as the City's backup Public Information Officer and assisting Community Relations staff and processes.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range is $88,764.80 - $98,627.55 / Annually

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or related field. Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in marketing, communications, or public relations. Must demonstrate strong competency in writing, desktop publishing, and graphic design software.
Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish. Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record.
