Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
Six years’ full-time experience as a Police Officer with a minimum of three years’ full-time experience as a Police Sergeant or equivalent position; advanced leadership, supervision and management training such as Northwestern Police Staff and Command or PERF Senior Management Institute for Police preferred.
Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license. Must be Colorado P.O.S.T. certified or have a valid Peace Officer certificate in another state and be able to acquire Colorado P.O.S.T. certification six months from hire date. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
