The IT Systems Analyst – Public Safety plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the police records management system and other essential city applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a trusted IT partner to the Police Department, providing top-tier technical support and collaborating on innovative solutions.
In this role, you’ll become the go-to expert for system design, installation, configuration, and ongoing support of both on-premises and cloud applications. You will have the chance to directly impact by tuning and improving applications, providing end-user training, and leading small-scale technical projects. As part of the IT team, you’ll play an integral role in implementing new technologies, troubleshooting, and ensuring the city’s public safety systems run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for the Police Department's Records Management System (RMS) and other essential city applications.
- Design, install, configure, and support both cloud and on-premises applications.
- Partner with IT Project Managers to lead technical projects from discovery through implementation.
- Lead end-user training, develop technical documentation, and drive system improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring an excellent user experience.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range is $86,576.40 - $101,967.76/annually.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a closely related field and a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role required.
- Experience supporting Police Department Applications or Software is required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Tier 2 application administration/support is required.
- Experience in a similar role or through technology support roles with progressive experience, knowledge and responsibility within local, state or federal is preferred.
- Experience supporting an RMS is preferred.
- Experience and training in ITIL with ITIL Foundations Certification preferred.
- CJIS certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Professional knowledge or experience with Project Management methodologies, such as PMI or PMBOK, is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
