Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $70,500.00 - $107,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to provide the overall training strategy for both on-boarding and ongoing training to help reduce turnover, retain good talent and increase efficiency of the staff. The training program will ensure predictability, scalability and quality in the development of our employee resources.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute more complex department training programs with collaboration from management and sales trainer for both onboarding and continuing education
- Manage the on-boarding process for newly hired employees to ensure they are completing all phases of the established curriculum, including proactive management reporting of new hire progress
- Oversee the process to create, coordinate, update and maintain content for the training repository to assure that all information is current and readily accessible
- Facilitate more complex individual and team system training classes, as needed
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with various lines of business and/or subject matter experts to ensure training is appropriately supporting the business objectives
- Lead the development of communication plans for training and development
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Intermediate knowledge of training methodology, adult learning principles and training facilitation technologies
- Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint and similar tools
- Intermediate knowledge of various multimedia technologies utilized in training content development
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to speak in public setting and at ease moderating groups
- Ability to facilitate training via classroom and via webinar
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 4 years training experience required
- Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education

This compensation range is for the Training Specialist I, II and Senior – Commerce Trust jobs and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $70,500 to $107,000 annually.
