Job Summary: The BSA Analyst I is primarily responsible for preparing CTR’s for submission to FinCEN. This position is also responsible for conducting ongoing periodic monitoring for high risk accounts. This position requires knowledge of BSA and AML laws and regulations.
Essential Functions:
1. Prepare CTR's for submission to FinCEN.
2. Review cash activity reports daily and manage the CTR process for offices and Central Operations. Responsible for verifying that CTR's are properly completed and submitted in a timely manner.
3. Conduct ongoing periodic monitoring for assigned moderate risk accounts.
4. Conduct ongoing periodic monitoring for assigned high risk accounts.
5. Review and clear AML system alerts as assigned, create cases when suspicious activity is identified and escalate to the BSA Officer or designee.
6. Review periodic OFAC scans and report true matches to the BSA Officer or designee.
7. Review data imported to the AML system and complete audit log, scenario run, international ACH, and wire validations.
8. Identify and timely report unusual / suspicious activity to the BSA Officer or designee.
9. Conduct 314(a) searches and report true matches to the BSA Officer or designee.
10. Provide support to the BSA Group and serve as a resource to the offices and departments of the Bank:
- Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained and available for audits, government, and law enforcement agencies.
- Serves as a resource for application support to troubleshoot issues with BSA/AML analysis software to ensure integrity of the information and optimal system performance.
- Assists with maintaining spreadsheets, running reports, and providing documentation as requested by the BSA Officer
11. Review the Monetary Instrument Log monthly.
12. Log, process, distribute, and create alerts accordingly for legal requests; such as subpoenas, levies, etc. received by the department.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
1. A minimum education level of a High School diploma. College degree preferred.
2. 5 to 10 years of general banking experience.
3. Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
4. 5 to 10 years of knowledge and experience with bank core processing software. Experience with BSA software is highly desired.
5. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional demeanor.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Strong presentation skills.
7. Proven microcomputer skills. Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
8. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
