What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager/Loan Officer position at Commercial Bank & Trust Co?
Role and Responsibilities:
- Underwrites, documents, and makes sound consumer, residential real estate, and commercial loans.
- Calls on prospective and current customers for new or additional business; utilizes Loan and Deposit Horizons as a prospecting tool.
- Understands deposit products and works with customers to open deposit products.
- Maintains low past due percentages and collects as necessary. Monitors and clears all financial and collateral exceptions.
- Meets predetermined loan growth, deposit growth, and fee income levels.
- Collects fees.
- Maintains physical security and property of branch.
- Assists tellers in transactions beyond their authority.
- Responsible for participating in outreach efforts aimed at increasing services for low to moderate income areas of the market.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
- Delivers exceptional customer service.
- Represents Commercial Bank at community functions enthusiastically.
- Has a helpful attitude with co-workers and customers.
- Strives to improve efficiency in his/her work area through cost savings.
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Completes all training assigned to HR, IT, Compliance, BSA, and supervisor on a timely basis.
- Follows IT Security Policies and Procedures, including the diligent reporting of phishing emails.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Interview and training new associates in the department
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Coordinates discipline and termination of associates in accordance with company policy.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Tact and public relations expertise
- Ability to analyze financial information
- Ability to make informed decisions
