Summary of Duties
The Assistant Loan Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the leadership, development, and performance of employees within the Commercial Loan Support, Commercial Loan Documentation, and Mortgage Loan Documentation teams. This role focuses on building a strong, collaborative work environment that supports employee engagement, professional growth, and operational excellence. Working in close partnership with Human Resources, Compliance, and Lending Leadership, this manager ensures that team members are well-supported, well-trained, and positioned for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Included but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to teams responsible for commercial loan support, commercial loan documentation, and mortgage loan documentation.
- Promote a positive, inclusive work culture that values teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of commercial and consumer loan documents and mortgage files in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure prompt and precise servicing of commercial, consumer, and mortgage loans in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, procedures, and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with lenders and underwriters to resolve documentation or processing issues and improve turnaround times.
- Monitor and manage performance metrics, ensuring service levels and productivity goals are met.
- Coordinate training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Work closely with Human Resources department to address employee relations, manage performance issues, assist with staffing needs, and support overall team well-being.
- Partner with Compliance and risk management to ensure regulatory adherence, including audit preparedness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements.
- Resolve employee concerns and support team members in navigating work-related challenges.
Other Functions
1. Familiar with and abides by all bank regulations including but not limited to BSA and OFAC.
2. Adhere and comply with all Bank Policies.
3. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification/Licensing:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Advanced education in accounting, business administration or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, mortgage loan documentation, and related regulations
- Comfortable managing performance, coaching, and navigating employee issues in partnership with HR.
- Experience with loan origination systems and document preparation software.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to work in front of a computer for extended periods of hours; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Must be able to travel from location to location throughout the office and to other bank offices, clients, and outside meetings. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
