Job Summary
The Cell Culture Technician will be responsible for supporting cell culture activities and experiments within the research laboratory. The role involves assisting in various molecular biology techniques and maintaining cell lines for research purposes.
Duties
- Perform cell culture maintenance and propagation
- Assist in DNA isolation, PCR, Western blot, ELISA, and other molecular biology techniques
- Support research experiments by preparing reagents and materials
- Conduct cell-based assays including flow cytometry and transfection experiments
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with cell culture techniques and aseptic practices
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including PCR, Western blot, ELISA
- Familiarity with flow cytometry and transfection methods
- Knowledge of Python programming is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- Cell culture: 1 year (Preferred)
- Mammalian cell culture: 1 year (Preferred)
- GMP: 1 year (Preferred)
- Laboratory techniques: 1 year (Preferred)
