RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and safety standards.
- Reports in uniforms, which is cleaned and pressed.
General Cleaning and Upkeep:
* Cleaning and Disinfecting: This is a core duty, and includes cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and individual workspaces. This involves cleaning surfaces, floors, fixtures, and emptying trash and recycling.
* Floor Care: Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors are standard tasks to keep floors clean and presentable. This may also include buffing or waxing floors in some facilities.
* Window Cleaning: Cleaning interior windows to maintain a bright and welcoming environment.
* Dusting: Dusting furniture, shelves, equipment, and other surfaces to remove dust and allergens. Specialized Tasks:
* Restroom Sanitation: Maintaining clean and sanitary restrooms is critical in any facility. This includes cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, countertops, and replenishing supplies like soap and paper towels.
* Kitchen/Breakroom Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, microwaves, and refrigerators in kitchen or breakroom areas.
* Waste Disposal: Properly collecting and disposing of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
* Supply Replenishment: Restocking cleaning supplies, paper products, and other necessary items. Additional Responsibilities:
* Safety and Security: Housekeepers may be responsible for reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues they observe. They may also be required to secure the facility by locking doors or windows after cleaning.
* Special Projects: Depending on the facility, housekeepers may be asked to assist with special projects like event setup or cleaning up after a spill or accident.
