Summary
We are looking for an experienced building automation controls technician to join our HVAC Building Automation team. This position supports service and projects throughout Central Ohio.
Potential candidates should be disciplined, diligent, motivated, and detail-oriented. They must possess the ability to communicate in a professional manner, think critically, prioritize, manage time and resources, think outside the box and be willing to overcome challenges.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation systems and related equipment.
- Program, perform start-up and commission devices and equipment
- Calibrate and configure control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments for system assessments and adjustments.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate various building systems seamlessly.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operations.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Building Automation Technician or similar role in the building automation industry. Experience with Tridium Niagara software a plus.
- Experience working with BACnet, LON, MODbus, ethernet and IP networks
- Working knowledge of low voltage electrical wiring and components
- Ability to read technical documents such as drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, product manuals, etc
- Ability to calibrate equipment and perform field service tasks effectively.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction.
- ability to perform ladder work, lift, stand, sit and carry 50lbs.
