The Senior Tax Analyst ensures compliance with federal and state taxes and regulations. The position coordinates with the providers of tax services as well as various taxing jurisdictions for timing filing of tax returns for a financial services company with filings in multiple taxing jurisdictions.

The Senior Tax Analyst ensures compliance with federal and state taxes and regulations. The position coordinates with the providers of tax services as well as various taxing jurisdictions for timing filing of tax returns for a financial services company with filings in multiple taxing jurisdictions.
Job Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Ensure ASC 740 compliance.
- Lead the annual tax provision and forecasting of quarterly financial tax rates.
- Prepare income tax projection reports on a quarterly basis.
- Input income tax payments into tax provision software.
- Input quarterly adjustments to deferred tax positions.
- Provide tax services provider with relevant data for completion of federal and state tax returns.
- Calculate and process estimated tax payments.
- Process federal & state income tax extensions payments.
- Review federal & state income tax returns for accuracy and coordinate filings with tax service provider
- Manage federal and state tax audits.
- Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise.
- Keep up to date of current developments in the tax area.
- Assist in ensuring all internal controls and procedures are operating effectively.
- Assist with transaction tax returns i.e. sales & use, property, business, & activity tax returns monthly, quarterly and annually as needed.
- Complete a monthly reconciliation of current and deferred income tax general ledger accounts.
- Assist with preparation of 1099 preparation, as needed.
- Review true leases in loan administration system for income tax compliance.
- Review fixed asset tax depreciation for income tax compliance.
- Conduct special analysis and research on a requested basis.
- 3-4 years’ experience in tax accounting preferred.
- BS in accounting or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software or similar software preferred.
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in Excel.
- Finance experience preferred.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to interact with various departments and outside reporting jurisdictions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast- paced environment.
