Job Summary: The Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Manager is responsible for management of transportation and 3PL operations, ensuring efficient movement of freight while optimizing costs and meeting delivery expectations. This position involves coordinating with freight carriers, 3PL partners, and internal departments to achieve operational excellence.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversee the logistics team as the business grows, including transportation coordinators, and 3PL vendor relationships, ensuring effective team performance and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiate shipping rates with carriers, select optimal transportation modes, and coordinate shipment schedules to ensure timely deliveries, with a focus on managing 3PL partnerships effectively.
• Track and analyze logistics costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving initiatives within 3PL operations.
• Overseeing the planning, execution, and communication of daily clerical and operational processes related to freight and logistics.
• Collaborate with customer service teams to address delivery concerns, provide order updates, and maintain customer satisfaction, ensuring seamless integration with 3PL operations.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to shipping, customs, safety, and 3PL service agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight carriers and 3PL partners.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure quality standards and service levels are met.
• Creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics performance, track progress, and identify areas for improvement, emphasizing 3PL efficiency metrics.
• Identifying obstacles and recommending solutions to help influence business planning and strategy.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in third-party logistics.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
