Job Summary:
The Operations Associate is responsible for supporting multiple departments, including, but not limited to, Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Hardware. This versatile, cross-departmental role ensures the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cross-train in multiple areas and assist various departments as needed and determined by department supervisor.
- Provide backup clerical support for Shipping department as needed, performing tasks such as coordinating freight deliveries, generating Bills of Lading, tracking shipments, maintaining electronic records, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Gather and distribute materials based on production schedules and sales orders.
- Ensure accuracy in measuring, reading production schedules, and following instructions.
- Reading sales order sheets then pulling hardware from available stock and installing.
- Accurately cutting new or duplicate keys and recording all key information.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as 5S and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Willingness to work varying first-shift hours, based on business needs.
- Ability to use tape measure, power tools, hand tools, and warehouse equipment.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with multi-tasking capabilities.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in production or warehousing, preferably in Shipping or Receiving, required.
- Prior forklift experience or willingness to obtain in-house equipment certification, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or moving materials as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
