Job Summary
The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, loading trucks, packaging orders for damage-free shipping, and supporting other departments as needed. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills to meet shipping deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut wood using hand tools to build crates for shipping orders
- Wrap and package orders securely to avoid damage during shipping
- Photograph all outgoing orders
- Move crates with a forklift
- Pull hardware (lifting and carrying) to prepare for shipment
- Maintain a professional, clean, and safe working area
- Nail gun usage
- Chop Saw Usage
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School/GED
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools
- Excellent attendance
Preferred Skills
- 1 year of experience in the construction marketplace, specific to Shipping
- Forklift certified
