What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Charge Bookkeeper position at Commercial Electrical Contractor?
Large Commercial electrical contractor in the Towson area seeking an Accounting Manager familiar with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Financial Statement preparation, GL reconciliation, administrative and supervisory duties. Will be responsible for making sure accounting tasks and any other administrative duties are performed in a timely manner and are accurate. Must be willing to perform duties that are not necessarily related to accounting such as file management, contract review and insurance renewals to name a few. A thorough background check will be required to obtain Top Secret Clearance. This will enable the person to assist with our Security audits, submit employees for clearance and maintain records. Currently using Sage 300 Software, will be implementing Trimble Viewpoint/Spectrum this year.
Applicant must:
Have Work In Process (WIP) experience
Must be willing and able to pass a thorough background check in order to receive Top Secret Clearance
Pay Attention to detail
Have a friendly disposition and be able to get along with others in the department
Be a team player
Be cross trained in payroll as backup if needed
Duties Include:
Process all material and subcontract invoices for entry into AP, reconcile statements if needed
A/R invoice submission and collections
Submit Job Cost reports and billing to project managers. Review to make sure billings are in line with cost
Reviewing jobs with Project Managers to make sure their budgets are on target.
Work in Process (WIP)- Monthly analysis and correcting
Journal entries monthly
Financial Statements- Prepare and review. Report to the owners monthly, bank, bonding company and accountants office quarterly
Contracts- Review contracts for new jobs and set up in computer system and files
Process change orders for contracts
Bonding- Order Payment & Performance bonds for jobs that require. Meet yearly with boning company
GL/WC Insurance- Meet with agent yearly to review coverages and cost
Other duties as needed

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
