Electrical Assembly – Swing shift position

We are hiring multiple Electrical Assembly positions in the Canonsburg area with a starting wage of $22.95 per hour for a leading manufacturer of power transformers for electric utility and industrial applications. You will be installing tubing, control cabinet, conduit, grounding cable, terminal boards, and other electrical devices on the transformer.

Electrical Assembly position Responsibilities and Details :

Responsible for construction and quality of a core and coil assembly and associated tanking procedures.
Prep tank and cover, insert unit, install and connect internal and external accessories, and adjust to proper clearance.
Process unit for testing and prepare for shipping.
Perform various functions related to the set-up, make ready, and tear down of winding
operation.

Electrical Assembly Duties :

Prep counter shields, make stick and tube assemblies, pre-load spacers, assemble vertical wind outs, bend, burn, anneal, clean, and wrap leads, remove coils from winding machine and up-end.

Direct mechanical work using many different tools & equipment including cranes, forklifts, various hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, air tools, hot oil systems, vacuum pumps, scaffolding, battery powered lifting equipment and other tools as required.

Work from schematics, blueprints & diagrams to assemble parts and wiring into control cabinets.

Requirements for the Electrical Assembly position :

Experience in industrial setting, construction or mechanical background is required.

Ability to read blueprints and schematics needed.

Must be able to lift (carry) up to 60 lbs.

Swing shift hours are Monday – Friday 7a-3 : 30p & 3 : 30p - 12a.

Must be available to pass background check & drug test.

High school diploma or GED required.
