Job Description:
The Maintenance technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining all machines and facilities equipment. Additionally, the maintenance technician will be responsible for operating electrical and mechanical equipment following best safety practices and procedures.
This position will work closely with fellow team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections
- Diagnose faulty electrical operation using electrical testing equipment/ tools
- Determine the best way to repair to minimize the interruption of production
- Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, adjust and lubricate mechanical equipment
- Adhere to safety procedures with special attention to taping off work areas, lockout/tagout
- Interpret and analyze electrical drawings, and wire diagrams
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding
- Partner with contracted repair personnel as directed
- Complete MVP work orders as requested by plant supervision or management
- Complete all necessary reports
Skills & Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of electrical and preventative maintenance experience
- We are willing to train
- Experience working with A.C and D.C equipment such as motors, generators, controls, switches, circuit breakers etc.
- Experience working with a variety of mechanical hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, hammers etc.
- Ability to work alone or direct others as needed
- Welding experience preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Must have your own tools
Working Conditions:
This position will be primarily on the production floor in various conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.61 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
