TELLER
JOB SUMMARY
Handle all phases of teller operations including collections, cashing checks and taking deposits on bank customers. Must be alert to sell bank services. Job requires occasional supervision, moderate record keeping and use of office machines such as computers, teller system, calculators, typewriters, telephone and cash machines.
Duties:
Includes the following, but is not limited to:
- Take deposits, loan payments and cash checks
- Verify currency
- Make copies, reorder checks, make address changes, take stop payments
- Sell money to and buy money from vault
- Maintain, load cash and balance ATM
- Assist in opening night depository and work customer’s depository bags
- Balance cash drawer
- Promote Bank’s services and cross-sell Bank products
- Make concentrated effort to solve customer problems
- Provide relief for other departments, when necessary
- Complete currency transactions reports as required
- Sell Cashier’s checks and Money Orders
- Complete all required regulatory training including Bank Secrecy Act related training annually and maintain knowledge of current BSA policies
- Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act
Job may require rotating between Burnet County location.
Relationships
- Direct Supervisor – Head Teller
- Responsible to the Cashier for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities
- Will have extensive contact with customers and the public, and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank
- Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations in community projects
